Natural gum also known as gum resin is a sticky sap like substance produced by trees.Harvested by tapping or extraction. Called Vruksha Niryas in Ayurveda. it can be sticky,clear , yellowish or some other colour. They are used as an adhesives,in food products as a thickener or stabilizers and in medicines. Some of them are Gum akasia,Gond Katira,kamarkas etc. Extracts are derived by processing tree parts . Process might be like boiling or distillation. Some of them are Rasanjan,Kapoor,Menthol,Thymaol etc
